Library
Our wonderful library is managed by our school librarian, Mrs Rigby. It is a calm, welcoming and relaxing space where children can develop a lifelong love of reading. We stock books for all ages, from our youngest children in Nursery through to our confident readers in Year 6.
The aim of our library is to promote reading for pleasure for every child. Whether supporting early readers, encouraging reluctant readers, or providing exciting new books for children who already love to read, we strive to make reading an enjoyable experience for all.
Library sessions are led by our school librarian, teachers and support staff, all of whom share a passion for reading. We enjoy spending time in our cosy library, helping children discover books that inspire, entertain and engage them.
We also run a Library Club, which is open during lunchtime on Thursdays and Fridays. Children can relax on comfortable bean bags and cushions while enjoying a good book or jigsaw puzzle, listening to stories, or sharing books with friends.
Outside of school, we offer our Little Bookworms Club as part of Nursery's home reading provision. With parental consent, children can take home a book bag filled with picture books and begin their own reading-for-pleasure journey with their families.
For our older children in Years 4, 5 and 6, we offer a Home Readers Library, allowing them to borrow books to enjoy at home. Participation requires parental consent, which can be provided by emailing Mrs Rigby.
