This year's competition offers two festive themes to choose from:

🎅 A Christmas Wish for West Lancashire
🌿 How Nature Celebrates Christmas

Children are invited to create a colourful Christmas card design based on one of these themes. The winning artwork will become the Council's official Christmas card, and the winner will receive a prize. They will also be invited to join the Mayor at the Christmas Lights Switch-On events in Ormskirk and Skelmersdale.

How to Enter

• Open to all primary-aged pupils.
• Artwork should be created on A4 white paper (portrait orientation).
• Entries must be in colour and may be produced using pencils, crayons, felt tips or paint.
• Please do not attach glitter, sequins, tinsel or other additional materials.

School Submission Deadline

Please bring all completed entries to either school office by Tuesday 3 November 2026.

The school will collate and submit all entries to the Council on behalf of pupils, so children and families do not need to send artwork directly. The Council can only accept entries submitted through schools.

The winner and runners-up will be announced in early December 2026.

We can't wait to see our pupils' wonderful festive creations. Good luck, and happy drawing! 🎨🎄
